The Challenge

Hurricane Roses needed a music video for their album Home to Haunt You that could match the weight of its haunting themes. The challenge was crafting a narrative built around a reveal — a man seemingly grappling with the loss of his wife, only to show in the final moments that he had been waiting for her in the afterlife all along. Every scene needed to hold its meaning twice: once before the reveal, and again after, when everything the audience had just watched would recontextualize in an instant.

My Role

• —Co-wrote and co-directed the video with Rachel Krauss, developing the narrative structure that builds emotional tension before landing the reveal
• —Crafted a story that balanced grief and hope — grounding the supernatural in something deeply human and earned
• —Delivered a film that gave Hurricane Roses a cinematic companion to their music, extending the themes of Home to Haunt You into a fully realized visual story
